After a string of four wins, Oak Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Evergreen Park Mustangs by a score of 2-1. While the Bengals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-11 in the first set.

Oak Forest actually scored more points across those three sets (63-61), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 11-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Jequarri Shannon and Charlie Davidson, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Jacob Hladyshewsky and his 26 assists.

Oak Forest's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Evergreen Park, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Coming up, Oak Forest will challenge Homewood-Flossmoor at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Evergreen Park, they will face off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
