Recap: Whitwell Tigers vs. Rockwood Tigers
The Whitwell Tigers lost against the Rockwood Tigers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Whitwell lost to Rockwood at home by a decisive 65-46 margin. Whitwell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jaylon Reed was a one-man wrecking crew for Rockwood as he scored 13 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty'varion Pryor, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Whitwell has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Rockwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Whitwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Van Buren County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rockwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Midway is coming into the contest with four straight victories at home, so Rockwood is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
