Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Daniel Duno stepped things up a notch to give Wharton the 'W'. Duno struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). The effort marked the most strikeouts he has had since back in February of 2025.

Duno and Wharton will head out on the road to face off against Riverview at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last time Duno duked it out with the Sharks (back in March of 2025), the Wildcats came out on top by a score of 6-5. Will another strong game from Duno be enough to do it again?
