Soccer Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pueblo East Eagles, falling 10-0. If Mitchell were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to Pueblo East when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pueblo East, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Mesa Ridge on the 7th. As for Pueblo East, they will head out to take on Pueblo Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo East will be up against Pueblo Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
