Baseball Game Preview: Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks vs. Norfolk Christian Ambassadors

The Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks are taking a road trip to square off against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Norfolk Collegiate is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Norfolk Collegiate lost 24-1 to Hampton Roads Academy on Wednesday.

Norfolk Collegiate saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Beaudry, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Wyatt Stradling also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Norfolk Christian's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walsingham Academy on Wednesday. The Ambassadors have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Norfolk Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Norfolk Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Norfolk Collegiate skirted past Norfolk Christian 7-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Mighty Oaks repeat their success, or do the Ambassadors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
