Basketball Game Preview: Northern Highlands Highlanders vs. Hackensack Comets

The Northern Highlands Highlanders will face off against the Hackensack Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northern Highlands will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Northern Highlands was able to grind out a solid win over Paramus, taking the game 48-40. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Highlanders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Spartans are ranked 175th).

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Hackensack's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 66-61 to Ramapo. While the Comets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 21-11 in the first quarter.

Hackensack's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Northern Highlands, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
