Softball Recap: Vanlue Comes Up Short

Vanlue scored first but ultimately less than Bluffton in their match on Friday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 11-1. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Vanlue saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Alivia Otto also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Vanlue's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Bluffton, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

As of now, neither Vanlue nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
