Volleyball Recap: Newington's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Newington lost against Maloney back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nor'easters fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to the Nor'easters' undefeated start to the season.

Nate Parlapiano paced Newington's offense, picking up three kills. Parlapiano got some help from Tristan Gorman and his six assists.

Newington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Maloney, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Newington has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against East Hartford on the 5th. As for Maloney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Shelton on the 5th.
