Softball Recap: Thunder Ridge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Highland

Thunder Ridge faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans fell just short of the Rams by a score of 11-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Titans, who until this contest were averaging 4.05 runs allowed.

Zoey Sorg made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Giulia Johns, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Thunder Ridge and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Highland, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
