Softball Recap: Powhatan Comes Up Short

After flying high against James River Midlothian on Tuesday, Powhatan came back down to earth. The Indians lost 10-2 to the Manchester Lancers on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this matchup were averaging 3.57 runs allowed.

Powhatan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Manchester, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Coming up, Powhatan will be playing at home against Louisa County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Manchester, they will venture away from home to challenge Monacan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
