Volleyball Recap: Dalton Bulldogs vs. Independence Blue Devils
Dalton and Independence squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dalton had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Blue Devils. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.
Sara Geibel paced Dalton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Geibel got some help from Mya Geiser and her 35 assists. Finally, Phoebe Lehman kept Dalton's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
Independence had a senior duo take command as Sofia Pichert had 22 digs and two assists and Madelyn Mudra had 14 digs and two assists. Pichert has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.
