Baseball Game Preview: Golden West Trailblazers vs. El Diamante Miners

For the second straight game, Golden West will face off against El Diamante. The Trailblazers are taking a road trip to face off against the Miners at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Golden West took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past El Diamante 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trailblazers have posted since March 20, 2024.

Connor Stephens looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cash Flores was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Bonilla, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

El Diamante dropped their record down to 8-12-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Golden West, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
