Fillmore is 2-8 against Bolivar-Richburg since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Fillmore turned things around against Friendship on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Golden Eagles. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mylee Miller made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Fillmore got a massive performance out of Mattie McCumiskey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI McCumiskey has posted since back in April of 2025. Morghyn Ross was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
Fillmore lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, on Saturday Bolivar-Richburg's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against Addison.
Danika Loucks was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayna Thomas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Fillmore's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bolivar-Richburg, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fillmore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Bolivar-Richburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .418. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
