Softball Preview: Fillmore Eagles vs. Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines

Fillmore is 2-8 against Bolivar-Richburg since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mylee Miller made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Fillmore got a massive performance out of Mattie McCumiskey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI McCumiskey has posted since back in April of 2025. Morghyn Ross was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
