Canon City won the last time they faced Mesa Ridge, and Mason Lenard did his part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday with plenty of help from Lenard, who had 25 digs. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Canon City was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 24-26, 25-13, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Mesa Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tristan Biber had 17 digs and two assists.

The win got Canon City back to even at 9-9. As for Mesa Ridge, their defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-17.

Canon City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Pueblo South on the 18th. As for Mesa Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fountain Valley on the 18th.
