Soccer Recap: Northern vs. Patuxent
Northern's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged the Patuxent Panthers out 3-2. Even though the Patriots got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Genevieve O'Donnell was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.
Northern hit Patuxent with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Marlee Gott,
Ella Meccia, and
Cameron Cozzens.
The victory made it two in a row for Northern and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Northern will venture away from home to challenge McDonough at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patuxent, they will be defending their home-pitch for the first time this season they go up against Great Mills on Tuesday.
