Volleyball Recap: Rutherford Takes a Loss

Rutherford lost against Freeport back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-7.

Freeport found their leader in sophomore Lexi Worrell, who had nine assists and five aces.

Rutherford dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Freeport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutherford will take on Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freeport, they will square off against Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
