Baseball Game Preview: Evansville Blue Devils vs. Big Foot Chiefs

For the second straight game, Evansville will face off against Big Foot. The Blue Devils will host the Chiefs at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Evansville hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Thursday, Evansville didn't have quite enough to beat Big Foot and fell 2-1.

For Big Foot's part, Connor Weeks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on nine hits and racked up six Ks. Weeks also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Chiefs are 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Big Foot secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Evan Henningfeld, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Evansville's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Big Foot, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
