Baseball Recap: Enfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Edwin O. Smith on Wednesday, Enfield came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the South Windsor Bobcats on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Bobcats since May 9, 2018.

Enfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for South Windsor, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Enfield will face off against Glastonbury at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Eagles have lost four straight at home , while the Guardians have lost three on the road. As for South Windsor, they will take on East Lyme at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
