Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mound City). They breezed by the Hamburg Wildcats to the tune of 77-46 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Mound City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Hamburg, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Mound City will head out to challenge North Platte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Platte knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Mound City likes a good challenge. As for Hamburg, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bedford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
