Basketball Recap: Glen Iris Baptist Victorious

Glen Iris Baptist won the last time they faced Chilton Christian Academy, and Eva Jones did her part to make sure it happened again. The Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen came out on top against the Chilton Christian Academy Patriots by a score of 45-33 on Monday thanks in part to Jones, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. She is becoming a predictor of Glen Iris Baptist's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when she doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Rebekah Everett, who had eight points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Everett is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Glen Iris Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chilton Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Glen Iris Baptist will take on First Assembly Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chilton Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Enterprise at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
