Football Game Preview: Escondido Charter Tigers vs. Bishop's Knights + Official Tickets

Escondido Charter is 0-3 against Bishop since October of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Tigers will challenge the Knights at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Escondido Charter took a blow against Army-Navy, falling 41-2. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Warriors are ranked 365th).

Meanwhile, Bishop's got themselves on the board against Don Lugo on Thursday, but Don Lugo never followed suit. They blew past the Conquistadores, posting a 53-0 victory. The matchup marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season.

Escondido Charter better keep an eye on Cash Herrera. He was instrumental in Bishop's win, throwing for 174 yards and three touchdowns. Bruce Esajian got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points over those games. As for Escondido Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Escondido Charter was taken down by Bishop's 50-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Herrera, who threw for 192 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards.
