Softball Recap: Castle Knights vs. Jasper Wildcats

Castle stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They never let the Jasper Wildcats onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Castle sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The result came thanks to Giovanna (Gigi) Lynch's shutout, as she gave up just six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Castle let Aubrey Baker and Kaelyn Watson loose on the outfield. Baker went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Watson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Bruggenschmidt, who went 3-for-3 with two RBI.
