Basketball Recap: Eli Hankins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Galatia over Crab Orchard

Galatia lost against Crab Orchard back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Galatia Bearcats fell to the Crab Orchard Trojans 70-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (63), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Hankins, who posted 16 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. Connor Ammon was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight boards.

Galatia's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Crab Orchard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Galatia has already played their next match, an 87-35 win against Egyptian on the 18th. As for Crab Orchard, they will be taking part in a tournament against Thompsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
