Soccer Game Preview: Polytechnic vs. North Side

The Polytechnic Parrots will take on the North Side Steers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Polytechnic has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Polytechnic lost 6-1 to Wyatt on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Parrots in their meetings with the Chaparrals: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against Paschal, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that the Steers have lost by exactly three goals.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 5-15-1. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14-2.

Polytechnic took their win against North Side in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Polytechnic since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
