Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Blue Devils vs. North Bend Central Tigers

Wayne is 0-7 against North Bend Central since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wayne Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the North Bend Central Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wayne will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Cedar Catholic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Wayne walked away with a 41-30 victory over Cedar Catholic on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Bend Central). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-64 win over Oakland-Craig on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on six straight.

North Bend Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Wayne, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Wayne came up short against North Bend Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 54-43. Can Wayne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
