Baseball Recap: Paramount Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Paramount waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the El Rancho Dons.

Jacob Quinones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Paramount is undefeated when Quinones allowsthree or fewer hits, but 4-6 otherwise. Quinones was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Quinones wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Diego Padilla, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another was Brandon Martinez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Paramount now has a winning record of 7-6. As for El Rancho, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Paramount will welcome Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Dominguez has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.92 runs per game on average), something Paramount will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for El Rancho, they will head out on the road to face off against Charter Oak at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
