Sterling is a perfect 10-0 against Galesburg since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Meanwhile, Galesburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Geneseo, falling 23-0.

Sterling's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Galesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Galesburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sterling hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. It's a different story for Galesburg, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Sterling's hitters?

Everything went Sterling's way against Galesburg in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Sterling made off with an 18-0 victory. Will the Golden Warriors repeat their success, or do the Silver Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
