Softball Recap: Del City Eagles vs. McAlester Buffaloes
Del City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the McAlester Buffaloes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 back in August.
Liliana De La Cruz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Zamora Walker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Del City's loss dropped their record down to 4-19-1. As for McAlester, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-20.
Del City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McAlester, they will welcome Idabel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.6 runs per game on average), something the Buffaloes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
