Football Recap: Nandua Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northampton

After flying high against West Point last Friday, Nandua came back down to earth. The Warriors lost to the Northampton Yellowjackets on the road by a 62-48 margin on Friday. On the bright side, the 48- point performance marked the Warriors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Nandua's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nazere Blake, who rushed for 293 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Another back making a difference was Elijah Parker, who rushed for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

Nandua's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Northampton, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Nandua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northampton, they will challenge Colonial Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Drifters at the right time seeing as the Drifters are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
