Pickens extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-15 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Daniel Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Tuesday.

Pickens saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Louis Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Daniel, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by eight runs or more this season.

On Daniel's side, Matthew Smith looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Smith has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Liam Purcell and Quint Cumbie did most of the damage at the plate: Purcell went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Cumbie got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Purcell has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Julian Baldwin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
