Softball Preview: Sunset Apollos vs. Beaverton Beavers

Sunset is 9-1 against Beaverton since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. On Monday, Sunset earned a 6-3 win over Mountainside. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sunset.

Keana Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits.

On the hitting side, Kaia McKenna was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra McKenna, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Beaverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to Westview.

Sunset's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-5. As for Beaverton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
