Basketball Game Preview: Washington Classical Christian Warriors vs. Duval Charter Panthers

The Washington Classical Christian Warriors will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Duval Charter Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Duval Charter took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Washington Classical Christian, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Washington Classical Christian turned things around against St. Joseph Academy last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 46-12 win over the Flashes. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 22 point advantage.

Washington Classical Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Krulcik led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Abigail Krulcik, who posted 14 points.

Washington Classical Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in five consecutive contests.

Duval Charter played against St. Johns Country Day and lost via forfeit.

Duval Charter is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. As for Washington Classical Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.

Washington Classical Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Duval Charter in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win.
