Garner is 9-1 against South Garner since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Garner Trojans will look to defend their home pitch against the South Garner Titans at 6:00 p.m. Garner's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Garner's offense. They fell just short of Athens Drive by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, South Garner kept a clean sheet against Goldsboro on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 1-0.

South Garner picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4-1. As for Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Garner's way against South Garner when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Garner made off with a 4-0 win. Will Garner repeat their success, or does South Garner have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
