Baseball Recap: Heights Bulldogs vs. Cesar E. Chavez Lobos

Heights waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos 11-0. 11 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Matthew Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Luke Crouse was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
