Volleyball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton and Niceville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Milton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Leading Niceville to victory were Aprille Trotter and Janey Elder. Trotter had 11 digs and two aces, while Elder had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Elder has posted since back in September. Keira Bess also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Niceville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niceville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Navarre on the 14th.
