Basketball Recap: Mission Hills' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Mission Hills posted their biggest victory since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past the Mt. Carmel Sundevils 58-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Mt. Carmel saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Humphrey posted 17 points. Jasiah Ladner also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Mission Hills' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6. As for Mt. Carmel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Mission Hills will host Poway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poway will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Mission Hills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Carmel, they will head out to challenge San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
