Volleyball Recap: Dyersburg Comes Up Short

If Dyersburg was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Westview on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Dyersburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-16, 25-17, 26-24.

Dyersburg has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Dyersburg will square off against Dyer County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will face off against Jackson Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
