Volleyball Recap: Dyersburg Takes a Loss

If Dyersburg was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Westview on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Dyersburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 25-17, 26-24.

Dyersburg has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Dyersburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Dyer County on the 28th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Jackson Christian on the 28th.
