Basketball Recap: DSST: Cedar Comes Up Short on the Road Against Windsor Charter Academy + How To Watch

DSST: Cedar had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Firebirds: they've now lost four in a row.

DSST: Cedar lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Same Mehari, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Bowen Tieperman was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

Dayton Long went supernova For Windsor Charter Academy., dropping a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Long's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 24 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Schams, who posted 13 points.

Windsor Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, DSST: Cedar and Windsor Charter Academy will both be playing Denver Christian the next time they take the court. The Firebirds will head out to face the Thunder at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
