Springfield had lost six games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-11 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Penncrest Lions. The game marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season.

TJ Valletti made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Valletti was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Connor Manuel looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

On Penncrest's side, they got a good showing from Liam Wray, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Wray didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

At the plate, Nash Grant made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
