Baseball Game Preview: Cherokee Chiefs vs. Timberlake Tigers

Cherokee is 0-10 against Timberlake since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cherokee Chiefs will host the Timberlake Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Cherokee and Covington-Douglas have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. Cherokee came up short against Covington-Douglas, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, Timberlake lost 14-6 to Drummond on Monday.

Sadler Greb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Pierce, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Timberlake's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cherokee might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Timberlake in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Cherokee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
