Recap: Parkview Panthers vs. Brookwood Broncos
After losing to The Brookwood Broncos the last time they met, the Parkview Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Parkview strolled past Brookwood with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 43-24. Given Parkview's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Brookwood is ranked 79th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jaiden Jenkins was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Parkview's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-1 Kell and 7-2 Newton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.9% over those games). As for Brookwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Parkview will be playing in front of their home fans against Grayson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grayson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Brookwood, they will head out on the road to face off against South Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
