Baseball Recap: Bolivar Central Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Bolivar Central's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Fayette Ware Wildcats get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

Dalton Bissett made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bolivar Central is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10-1 otherwise. Bissett was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other pitching news, Kaden Ubelhor looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Clyne Walton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Noah Parker, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bolivar Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayette Ware only posted an OBP of .231.

Bolivar Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Fayette Ware, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

As of now, neither Bolivar Central nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
