Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Timberwolves vs. Cascade Bruins

The Jackson Timberwolves will square off against the Cascade Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Jackson's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Cascade has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Jackson sidestepped Stanwood for a 3-1 win.

Jackson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinten Johns, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Cascade fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Everett on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Seagulls by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Cascade, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Jackson was able to grind out a solid win over Cascade in their previous matchup last Monday, winning 4-0. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
