Football Recap: Jeromie King's Menacing Defense Leads Martin County over Boynton Beach + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Martin County strolled past Boynton Beach with points to spare, taking the game 30-13.

Amarion Queen had a dynamite game, picking up 204 receiving yards and three scores. His longest reception was for an incredible 93 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Louis, who threw for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Martin County didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Boynton Beach to a completion percentage of just 44.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Jeromie King, Jonathon Leocal, and Jahree Hutchinson, who each logged one passes deflected. Martin County wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 55%.

Martin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut King.

Boynton Beach's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of David Neal, who picked up 126 receiving yards and one TD, and Chris Siska, who threw for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The win got Martin County back to even at 1-1. As for Boynton Beach, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Martin County is taking a road trip to square off against Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boynton Beach, they will host Santaluces at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
