Basketball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral lost against Cheney back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chaparral Roadrunners took a blow against the Cheney Cardinals, falling 62-32. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Cardinals are ranked 88th).

Chaparral has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. As for Cheney, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will take on Conway Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cheney, they will challenge Hesston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
