It was a good run, but Oak City Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Crusaders, falling 71-47. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Crusaders are ranked 72nd).

Trinity Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Stafford, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points. Baganley Donzo was another key player, going 6 of 8 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Oak City Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Trinity Christian, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak City Prep has already played their next matchup (against Word of God Christian Academy National), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Trinity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Freedom Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 contests -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge.
