Basketball Game Preview: Male Bulldogs vs. Ballard Bruins

The Male Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Ballard Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Male is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Assumption on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Rockets and fell 79-23. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ballard hadn't done well against Christian Academy-Louisville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Ballard claimed a resounding 69-36 victory over Christian Academy-Louisville.

Ballard is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. Male has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Male came up short against Ballard in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-52. Can Male avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
