Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yamhill-Carlton). They managed a 55-50 win over the Rainier Columbians on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Yamhill-Carlton's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Rainier, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers challenge the Corbett Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rainier, they will welcome Neah-Kah-Nie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Neah-Kah-Nie has four straight victories, Rainier has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
