Softball Recap: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. Bethel-Tate Tigers
Felicity-Franklin extended their losing streak to 11 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They lost 11-4 to the Bethel-Tate Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-12 back in April.
Felicity-Franklin saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alwxis Harless, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
As for Bethel-Tate, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Considering they have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Bethel-Tate's side, Kaylee Randolph spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Bethel-Tate got a massive performance out of Addysyn Bohl, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Coincidentally, Felicity-Franklin and Bethel-Tate will both be playing Clermont Northeastern the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Cardinals will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
